There’s now a new way to personalize Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Here are all the details and how to buy direct from Apple – plus the latest AirPods deals. I’ll be updating these deals so please check back - this update includes deals added on Saturday, January 4.

Apple AirPods Pro and Apple AirPods have been incredibly popular with Apple straining to keep up with demand pretty much consistently since the first earbuds went on sale.

Even the $249 purchase price of the new – and superb – AirPods Pro version hasn’t put customers off.

Now, Apple has added a new feature. Of course, you can have your name, number or other message engraved – free – on the case when you buy online from apple.com. You can have eight characters in a large font or 14 in a smaller one.

And now, there’s another option, too. An emoji, for example.

Just the one emoji, thank you, but that should be enough. You can check out online what it will look like. The pig emoji is frankly irresistible. But maybe you prefer a unicorn, a grinning face, an alien, a dragon, a heart, a dog, a cow, a monkey or even a poo. Many of them are carefully modeled on Apple’s Animoji.

The other AirPods Pro case engraving options

If you want AirPods Pro and to choose your engraving, $249, go here.

If it’s the regular AirPods in a wireless charging case, $199, click here.

And if you want AirPods with the regular charging case, then click here.

The only place you can get this engraving done free is at Apple when you buy online direct. So, if there’s a better deal elsewhere, like the offers below, then you will need to buy the plain case.

One other thing, if it’s just the case you’re after, say if you’re upgrading from charging case to wireless charging case, even Apple doesn’t offer engraving for the case on its own.

Amazon has $15.01 off, that’s $234.98 instead of $249.99. You can buy here, though stock sold very quickly, so you’ll have to wait.

Latest AirPods with wireless charging case deals

Amazon’s biggest discount is on the regular AirPods with wireless charging case, at $30 off the $199 price: $169 here. Walmart is matching this price: $169, here. Target has the same AirPods with wireless charging case for 99c more, $169.99, here. Pricier, but still a discount, is the B&H price, $174.95, here.

Latest AirPods with charging case deals

Amazon has $20 off the $159 price, that’s $139, here. Almost as good is the $15 discount at Best Buy: $144.99, here. You’ll find the same price at B&H, here, and Target, here. And 99c better is the Staples price, $144, which you’ll find here.
