Thanks for stopping by our live coverage of Apple's WWDC 2019. In a few hours, Chief Executive Tim Cook will take the stage to tell developers--and, really, all of us--what's in store for the company's core products in the coming year.
The sheer volume of Apple devices in the wild, and the software spend that comes from those owners, makes these annual marketing rituals worth watching. This year, there are a number of new software products in play.
The iOS and macOS operating systems now have news, TV and games subscription offerings that are key to Apple. While Apple held its own event for those new products earlier this year, There are still some details we don't know, and they could surface today. (More likely at the expected September iPhone event.)
I'm curious how much Apple will talk about privacy. Cook isn't beyond throwing some haymakers on this topic, but Apple's own privacy house has been called into question in recent weeks by our own Joanna Stern and others.
Rumors abound--the death of iTunes, a new Mac Pro, a full dark mode--and we will get into some of those before the event in San Jose begins around 1 p.m. ET.
So strap in, it's going to be a long day.
