The latest development comes after The New York Times noted last week that Parnas told associates he paid Giuliani hundreds of thousands of dollars for his work.

Parnas and Fruman were arrested last Wednesday at Dulles International Airport  with one-way international tickets. They arrests came hours after they had lunch with Giuliani at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Federal authorities allege Parnas and Fruman violated campaign finance laws in order to funnel money to numerous Republican committees, including a $325,000 contribution in May 2018 to a pro-Trump super PAC called America First Action.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan are also reportedly investigating whether Giuliani’s dealing with Ukraine broke lobbying laws.
